The unit automatically locks to interlaced or non-interlaced computer sources up to 1600x1280 and converts the video to broadcast quality NTSC or PAL composite, S-Video (Y/C), Betacam, and RGB output. (SDI output optional)
SmartVIEW uses digital signal processing techniques to provide high image quality. The input video is sampled at 140MHz and processed using proprietary 2D digital signal processing techniques. Multiple frame buffers eliminate frame conversion artifacts. SmartVIEW™ incorporates adaptive flicker filtering to provide crisp, flicker-free output images. A digital encoder is used to preserve video fidelity and support contrast, hue and saturation adjustments. Serial digital (SDI) video output is available as an option.
SmartVIEW™ offers Pan and Zoom that allow an input area of interest to be scaled to fill the output display. This may consist of the full image or a selected input "window". Horizontal and vertical scaling parameters are provided to support aspect ratio conversion and adjustable underscan. Outputs can be genlocked to support studio applications. SmartVIEW™ may be controlled via user-friendly front panel menus or via an external RS-232 serial interface.
